Alice Liptrot is a textile artist who works predominantly with punch needle, creating dynamic artworks that push the boundaries of traditional textile works.
Alice is dedicated to preserving traditional crafts whilst translating them into a modern context. She carefully sources the yarn for her works from the Kent marshes, at a sheep farm local to her. The natural un-dyed wool of the sheep creates the limited pallet that Alice works with, but in every strand there is depth in the natural colour and texture of the surface. Light and shadows fall across the piece giving an ever-changing feeling to each work.
